A botanical house · Nairobi

Traced to the root.

SHINA sources single-origin botanical oils, butters, powders and extracts, and states plainly what each one is and how it's prepared. No blends we can't explain. No claims we can't stand behind.

How we work

Two registers. One standard.

Everything SHINA sells falls into one of two categories, and the label always says which.

Single-origin materials

The raw material, unaltered.

Oils, butters, powders and extracts, pressed, dried or milled with nothing added. What you see on the label is what's in the jar — named for exactly what it is, not dressed up as more.

Formulations — in development

The material, formulated.

Scalp, skin and body preparations built from the same verified materials, at stated concentrations. Currently in development — see the range for what's available now.

The record

What's actually in it.

Every SHINA product states what it is and how it's prepared, in plain terms. Select one to see it stated in full.

Claim discipline

What we won't say.

The category runs on claims nobody checks. We'd rather tell you what a product is than what it promises.

  • 01

We won't claim a product grows hair or reverses hair loss. No cosmetic legally can.

  • 02

We won't print “100% pure” without a way for you to check it. So we don't print it.

  • 03

We won't call a blend single-origin if it isn't. Blends are labelled as blends.

  • 04

We won't promise results by a date. Botanical materials work on their own timeline.

Ordering

We're not set up for checkout yet — you can still order.

SHINA is not yet an online store. For now, every order is confirmed directly — message us and we'll take it from there.
